Firewall Settings

MiTeam Meetings uses services provided by the CloudLink platform (chat, authorization and authentication, and dialing into meetings from the PSTN) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Chime SDK (audio, video, and screen sharing requirements). As a result, MiTeam Meetings requires the destinations and ports to support various services. If inbound or outbound traffic is blocked, it might affect the application’s ability to use various services, including audio, video, and screen sharing, and chat.

Note: Both inbound and outbound ports must be open in order to allow the application to function. You can also use wildcards to further identify the inbound and outbound traffic to allow or disallow packets accordingly. However, wildcards are not mandatory for the application to function. Some firewalls do not allow wildcards to be configured.

VPN Recommendations

  • Configure VPN to connect over UDP
  • Use split tunneling configuration when possible
  • Do not set MTU limit unless necessary
